All Glory, Laud, and Honor (Hymn No. 235)

All glory laud and honor to Thee, Redeemer, King, to Whom the lips of children make sweet hosannas ring! Thou art the King of Israel, Thou David’s royal Son, Who in the Lord’s name comest, the King and blessed One!

The people of the Hebrews with palms before Thee went; our praise and prayer and anthems before Thee we present: to Thee, before Thy passion, they sang their hymns of praise; to Thee, now high exalted, our melody we raise.

Thou didst accept their praises; accept the prayers we bring, Who in all good delightest, Thou good and gracious King! All glory, laud, and honor to Thee, Redeemer, King, to Whom the lips of children make sweet hosannas ring! Words by Theodulph of Orleans and music (tr. by John Mason Neale) and music by Melchior Teschner; public domain; CCLI License # 387777

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

Hosanna (Praise Is Rising)

Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You. We turn to You. Hope is stirring; hearts are yearning for You. We long for You;

Pre-chorus: ’Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day. In Your presence all our fears are washed away, washed away.

Chorus: Hosanna, hosanna! You are the God who saves us, worthy of all our praises! Hosanna, hosanna! Come have Your way among us; we welcome You here, Lord Jesus.

Hear the sound of hearts returning to You; we turn to You. In Your Kingdom broken lives are made new. You make us new. Words and music by Paul Baloche and Brenton Brown; 2005, 2006, Thankyou Music, Integrity’s Hosanna! Music; CCLI License # 387777

Hallelujah! What a Savior! (Hymn No. 246)

“Man of Sorrows!” what a name for the Son of God, who came ruined sinners to reclaim! Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude, in my place condemned He stood, sealed my pardon with His blood: Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Guilty, vile and helpless we, spotless Lamb of God was He; full atonement! Can it be? Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die, “It is finished,” was His cry; now in heav’n exalted high: Hallelujah, what a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King, all His ransomed home to bring, then anew this song we’ll sing: Hallelujah, what a Savior!  Words and music by Philip P. Bliss; words and music are public domain; CCLI License #387777

Corporate Confession of Sin           Kurt Nelson, Ruling Elder

Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us. O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent; according to Your promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. Grant that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life; to the glory of His holy name. Amen.

Gethsemane Hymn (During Communion)

Christ Exalted Is Our Song

Christ exalted is our song, our anthem through eternity. Praises rise and wake the dawn, heralding His majesty. Christ without a rival reigns over all creation. Name above all other names, enthroned in adoration.

Christ exalted is our song, the Sovereign over everything. Left His glorious throne beyond, stepped into our suffering. The hands that shaped the heaven’s frame reached to heal the leper. Mighty God in meekness came to lead us like a Shepherd.

Christ exalted is our song, the Man of Sorrows mocked and tried. Bore the judgment for our wrongs, for our sins was crucified. Hear the love in His refrain, “Father, please forgive them.” As He bears the bitter weight of guilt and condemnation.

Christ exalted is our song, buried but in vict’ry raised. The keys of death and life belong to the Firstborn from the grave. Glory, glory to the King! Crowned with countless praises. Christ exalted we will sing throughout unending ages! Words and music by Nathan Stiff; Sovereign Grace Worship; CCLI License # 387777
