10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)

Chorus: Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul; worship His holy name. Sing like never before, O my soul; I’ll worship Your holy name.

The sun comes up it’s a new day dawning, it’s time to sing Your song again. Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes. Chorus

You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger. Your name is great and Your heart is kind. For all Your goodness, I will keep on singing; ten thousand reasons for my heart to find. Chorus

And on that day, when my strength is failing, the end draws near, and my time has come; still, my soul will sing Your praise unending ten thousand years, and then forevermore!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul; worship His holy name. Sing like never before, O my soul; I’ll worship Your holy name. Lord, I’ll worship Your holy name; worship Your holy name.

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder / Nothing But the Blood

Let us love and sing and wonder; let us praise the Savior’s name. He has hushed the law’s loud thunder; He has quenched Mount Sinai’s flame. He has washed us with His blood, He has washed us with His blood, He has washed us with His blood; He has brought us nigh to God.

Let us sing, though fierce temptation threaten hard to bear us down, for the Lord, our strong salvation, holds in view the conqueror’s crown. He Who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood soon will bring us home to God. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Let us wonder, grace and justice join and point to mercy’s store. When through grace in Christ our trust is, justice smiles and asks no more. He Who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood has secured our way to God. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Let us praise and join the chorus of the saints enthroned on high. Here they trusted Him before us; now their praises fill the sky. Thou hast washed us with Thy blood, Thou hast washed us with Thy blood, Thou has washed us with Thy blood; Thou art worthy, Lamb of God! What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Better Is One Day

How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty. For my soul longs and even faints for You. For here my heart is satisfied within Your presence. I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings.

Chorus: Better is one day in Your courts, better is one day in Your house, better is one day in Your courts than thousands elsewhere.

One thing I ask and I would seek: to see Your beauty, to find You in the place Your glory dwells.

My heart and flesh cry out for You, the living God. Your Spirit’s water to my soul. I’ve tasted and I’ve seen. Come once again to me. I will draw near to You, I will draw near to You, to You.

Corporate Confession of Sin

Kurt Nelson, Ruling Elder

Our Father, You Who have given us life, even life eternal, we come as those needing Your forgiveness. Yet again we have followed our own hearts and ignored Your ways. Our hands, our mouths, our hearts, have been used to love ourselves and not You or others. We plead for You to cleanse us in the blood of Jesus. Create in us clean hearts and do not take Your Holy Spirit from us. Use us this week as Your servants and keep us mindful that we are also Your children. Make us like Your Son, our Lord and elder Brother, Jesus, in Whose name we pray. Amen.

A Faith That Goes Grows

Celebration of the Lord’s Supper

New Covenant welcomes all baptized Christians who have forsaken their sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and who are members of congregations that proclaim the Gospel, to receive the Lord’s Supper with us. Individuals pick up their elements from the tables in the sanctuary or in the fellowship hall and wait to eat together as a family meal. Gluten free bread is provided.

Come and Welcome (During Communion)

Before the Throne of God Above

Before the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea; a great High Priest whose name is Love, Who ever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on His hands; my name is written on His heart. I know that while in heav’n He stands, no tongue can bid me thence depart; no tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair and tells me of the guilt within, upward I look and see Him there Who made an end of all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died, my sinful soul is counted free; for God, the Just, is satisfied to look on Him and pardon me; to look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there, the Risen Lamb, my perfect, spotless Righteousness; the great unchangeable I AM, the King of Glory and of grace. One with Himself I cannot die; my soul is purchased by His blood. My life is hid with Christ on high; with Christ, my Savior and my God; with Christ, my Savior and my God.

I bow before the cross of Christ, and marvel at this love divine, God’s perfect Son was sacrificed to make me righteous in God’s eyes. This river’s depths I cannot know, but I can glory in its flood; the Lord Most High has bowed down low, and poured on me His glorious love, and poured on me His glorious love.
