NCPC Sunday Morning Worship Service

August 1, 2021

All Creatures of Our God and King

All creatures of our God and King, lift up your voice and with us sing, “Oh, praise Him! Alleluia!” Thou, burning sun with golden beam, thou, silver moon with softer gleam, oh, praise Him! Oh, praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless and worship Him in humbleness. Oh, praise Him! Alleluia! Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, and praise the Spirit, Three-in-One. Oh, praise Him! Oh, praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

All the redeemed washed by His blood, come and rejoice in His great love. Oh, praise Him! Alleluia! Christ has defeated every sin; cast all your burdens now on Him. Oh, praise Him! Oh, praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

He shall return in pow'r to reign; heaven and earth will join to say, “Oh, praise Him! Alleluia!” Then who shall fall on bended knee? All creatures of our God and King! Oh, praise Him! Oh, praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

Great Is Thy Faithfulness (Beginning to End)

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God, my Father. There is no shadow of turning with Thee. Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not. As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest; sun, moon, and stars in their courses above join with all nature in manifold witness to Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

Chorus: Beginning to end, my life in Your hands. Great, great is Your faithfulness. You never let go. This one thing I know: great, great is Your faithfulness.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth. Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide. Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow; blessings all mine with ten thousand beside.

Oh, great, great is Your faithfulness.

Great is Thy faithfulness. Great is Thy faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand has provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.

Give Me, Jesus

In the morning when I rise, in the morning when I rise, in the morning when I rise give me Jesus.

Chorus: Give me Jesus, give me Jesus. You can have all this world, but give me Jesus.

And when I am alone, oh, and when I am alone, and when I am alone, give me Jesus. Chorus

And when I come to die, oh, and when I come to die, and when I come to die, give me Jesus. Chorus

Corporate Confession of Sin

Kurt Nelson, Ruling Elder

Our gracious and loving God, we confess that our hearts should be more thankful for the eternal blessings You continue to shower upon us. We are too often blind to your bountiful gifts, ungrateful for your boundless love and mercy, and quick to cling to our petty idols instead of Your majesty. Thank You that You care for our needs according to Your great love and wisdom. Fill our hearts with thanksgiving to You for the depths of Your mercy and provision. We plead Your forgiveness on the merits of Jesus Christ alone. We ask in His blessed name, Amen.

Morning Prayer

How Great Are You, Lord

Chorus: How great are You, Lord, how great is Your mercy, how great are the things that You have done for me. How great are You, Lord, Your lovingkindness is filling my heart as I sing how great are You, Lord.

How great is Your love, it reaches to the heavens, how great is the heart that sought and rescued me; Chorus

Doxology

Celebration of the Lord’s Supper

New Covenant welcomes all baptized Christians who have forsaken their sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and who are members of congregations that proclaim the Gospel, to receive the Lord’s Supper with us. Individuals pick up their elements from the tables in the sanctuary or in the fellowship hall and wait to eat together as a family meal. Gluten free bread is provided.

Give Me Jesus (During Communion)

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; how precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed!

The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be, as long as life endures.

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

Yea when this flesh and heart shall fail, and mortal life shall cease, I shall possess within the veil, a life of joy and peace.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun; we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise, than when we first begun.
