Hosanna (Praise Is Rising)

Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You. We turn to You. Hope is stirring; hearts are yearning for You. We long for You;

Pre-chorus: ’Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day. In Your presence all our fears are washed away, washed away.

Chorus: Hosanna, hosanna! You are the God who saves us, worthy of all our praises! Hosanna, hosanna! Come have Your way among us; we welcome You here, Lord Jesus.

Hear the sound of hearts returning to You; we turn to You. In Your Kingdom broken lives are made new. You make us new.

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

Days of Elijah

These are the days of Elijah, declaring the Word of the Lord; and these are the days of Your servant Moses, righteousness being restored; and though these are days of great trials, of famine and darkness and sword; still we are the voice in the desert crying, “Prepare ye the way of the Lord.”

Chorus: Behold He comes, riding on the clouds, shining like the sun at the trumpet call; lift your voice, it’s the year of Jubilee, and out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.

And these are the days of Ezekiel, the dry bones becoming as flesh; and these are the days of Your servant David rebuilding a temple of praise; and these are the days of the harvest, the fields are as white in the world; and we are the laborers in Your vineyard declaring the Word of the Lord.

Bridge: There is no god like Jehovah, there is no god like Jehovah; there is no god like Jehovah, there is no god like Jehovah.

Sovereign Over Us

There is strength within the sorrow, there is beauty in our tears. And You meet us in our mourning with a love that casts out fear.

You are working in our waiting, sanctifying us; when beyond our understanding, You’re teaching us to trust.

Chorus: Your plans are still to prosper, You’ve not forgotten us; You’re with us in the fire and the flood. Faithful forever, perfect in love; You are sov’reign over us.

You are wisdom unimagined, who could understand Your ways, reigning high above the heavens, reaching down in endless grace.

You’re the lifter of the lowly, compassionate and kind, You surround, and You uphold me; and Your promises are my delight.

Bridge: Even what the enemy means for evil, You turn it for our good, You turn it for our good and for Your glory. Even in the valley You are faithful; You’re working for our good, You’re working for our good and for Your glory. Chorus

Corporate Confession of Sin

Pastor Jeff Elliott

O Holy Father, You have freely given Your Son; O Divine Son, You have freely paid my debt; O Eternal Spirit, You have freely bid me come; O Triune God, You freely grace me with salvation. Prayers and tears could not suffice to pardon my sins, nor anything less than Your atoning blood. What did You see in me except a poor, diseased, and dying sinner? Why should I be clothed in Your bright glory? Who can fathom Your immeasurable love? Your sacrificial love exceeds the senses! You are great, O God, and greatly to be praised!

Celebration of the Lord’s Supper

New Covenant welcomes all baptized Christians who have forsaken their sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and who are members of congregations that proclaim the Gospel, to receive the Lord’s Supper with us. Individuals pick up their elements from the tables in the sanctuary or in the fellowship hall and wait to eat together as a family meal. Gluten free bread is provided.

Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder with Nothing but the Blood

Let us love and sing and wonder; let us praise the Savior’s name. He has hushed the law’s loud thunder; He has quenched Mount Sinai’s flame. He has washed us with His blood, He has washed us with His blood, He has washed us with His blood; He has brought us nigh to God.

Let us sing, though fierce temptation threaten hard to bear us down, for the Lord, our strong salvation, holds in view the conqueror’s crown. He Who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood soon will bring us home to God. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Let us wonder, grace and justice join and point to mercy’s store. When through grace in Christ our trust is, justice smiles and asks no more. He Who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood, He who washed us with His blood has secured our way to God. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Let us praise and join the chorus of the saints enthroned on high. Here they trusted Him before us; now their praises fill the sky. Thou hast washed us with Thy blood, Thou hast washed us with Thy blood, Thou has washed us with Thy blood; Thou art worthy, Lamb of God! What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.
