Our God

Water You turned into wine, opened the eyes of the blind; there’s no one like You, none like You.

Into the darkness You shine, out of the ashes, we rise; there’s no one like You, none like You.

Chorus: Our God is greater, our God is stronger; God, You are higher than any other. Our God is healer, awesome in power our God, our God.

Bridge: And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us, and if our God is with us, then what could stand against? And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us, and if our God is with us, then what could stand against? What could stand against? Chorus

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

Psalm 150 (Praise the Lord)

You made the starry hosts, You traced the mountain peaks; You paint the evening sky with wonders. The earth it is Your throne, from desert to the sea; all nature testifies Your splendor.

Chorus: Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; sing His greatness, all creation. Praise the Lord, raise your voice; You heights and all you depths, from furthest east to west, let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

You reached into the dust; in love, Your Spirit breathed. You formed us in Your very likeness. To know Your wondrous works, to tell Your mighty deeds; to join the everlasting chorus. Chorus

Let symphonies resound, let drums and choirs ring out, all heaven hear the sound of worship, let every nation bring its honors to the King; a roar of harmonies eternal.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; sing His greatness, all creation. Praise the Lord, raise your voice; You heights and all you depths, from furthest east to west, you distant burning stars, all creatures near and far, from sky to sea to shore, sing out forevermore; let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

The Sands of Time Are Sinking

The sands of time are sinking, the dawn of heaven breaks; the summer morn I’ve sighed for, the fair, sweet morn awakes; dark, dark hath been the midnight, but dayspring is at hand, and glory, glory dwelleth in Immanuel’s land.

The King there in His beauty, without a veil is seen; it were a well-spent journey though sev'n deaths lay between; the Lamb with His fair army doth on Mount Zion stand, and glory, glory dwelleth in Immanuel’s land.

O Christ, He is the fountain, the deep, sweet well of love; the streams on earth I’ve tasted more deep I’ll drink above; there to an ocean fullness His mercy doth expand, and glory, glory dwelleth in Immanuel’s land.

With mercy and with judgment my web of time He wove; and always dews of sorrow were lustred with His love; I’ll bless the hand that guided, I’ll bless the heart that planned, when throned where glory dwelleth in Immanuel’s land.

Oh! I am my Beloved’s, and my Beloved’s mine! He brings a poor, vile sinner into His “house of wine,” I stand upon His merit, I know no other stand, not e’en where glory dwelleth in Immanuel’s land.

The bride eyes not her garments but her dear Bridegroom’s face; I will not gaze at glory but on my King of grace: not at the crown He giveth, but on His pierced hand; the Lamb is all the glory of Immanuel’s land.

Corporate Confession of Sin

Kevin Berlin, Ruling Elder

Our Father, Maker of heaven and earth, Savior of our souls, we come to You this morning pleading Your forgiveness for our many sins. We have forsaken You, the lover of our souls. You sent Your Son to redeem us, and we have turned our cold hearts away from You. We have questioned your love. We have neglected what You have commanded. We have set our wants and desires above Yours and above the opportunities to serve others. Wash us clean. Make us new again. Fill our eyes with vision of the greatness of Your majesty and Your grace. Cause us to declare with the apostle Paul, “the love of Christ controls us.” We ask this in His matchless name. Amen.

Morning Prayer

(Dismissal for Children’s Worship for Age 4 through Kindergarten.)

Across the Lands (** You Can Give by Text: Text "Give" to 757-500-8680. **)

You’re the Word of God the Father, from before the world began; ev’ry star and ev’ry planet has been fashioned by Your hand. All creation holds together by the power of Your voice: let the skies declare Your glory, let the land and seas rejoice!

Chorus: You’re the Author of creation, You’re the Lord of ev’ry man; and Your cry of love rings out across the lands.

Yet You left the gaze of angels, came to seek and save the lost, and exchanged the joy of heaven for the anguish of a cross. With a prayer You fed the hungry, with a word You stilled the sea. Yet how silently You suffered that the guilty may go free. Chorus

With a shout You rose victorious, wresting victory from the grave, and ascended into heaven leading captives in Your wake. Now You stand before the Father interceding for Your own. From each tribe and tongue and nation You are leading sinners home. Chorus
