He Is Exalted

He is exalted, the King is exalted on high, I will praise Him. He is exalted, forever exalted and I will praise His Name!

He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign. Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name. He is exalted, the King is exalted on high!

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

Jesus Paid It All

And I hear the Savior say, “Thy strength indeed is small. Child of weakness watch and pray, find in Me thine all in all.”

Chorus: Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow.

Lord, now indeed I find Thy pow’r and Thine alone can change the leper’s spots, and melt the heart of stone. Chorus

And when before the throne I stand in Him complete, Jesus died my soul to save; my lips shall still repeat. Chorus

Bridge: Oh, praise the One Who paid my debt, and raised this life up from the dead. Chorus

Sovereign Over Us

There is strength within the sorrow, there is beauty in our tears. And You meet us in our mourning with a love that casts out fear.

You are working in our waiting, sanctifying us; when beyond our understanding, You’re teaching us to trust.

Chorus: Your plans are still to prosper, You’ve not forgotten us; You’re with us in the fire and the flood. Faithful forever, perfect in love; You are sov’reign over us.

You are wisdom unimagined, who could understand Your ways, reigning high above the heavens, reaching down in endless grace.

You’re the lifter of the lowly, compassionate and kind, You surround, and You uphold me; and Your promises are my delight.

Bridge: Even what the enemy means for evil, You turn it for our good, You turn it for our good and for Your glory. Even in the valley You are faithful; You’re working for our good, You’re working for our good and for Your glory. Chorus

Corporate Confession of Sin

Blair Allen, Ruling Elder

O Spirit of God, come, work repentance in our souls. Cause us to see sin in its odious colors that we might hate it. Show us our ruined selves and the help there is in You. Melt our hearts with Your majesty and mercy. Give us clear eyes to see Your ability to save, Your arms outstretched, Your power and love at work in us. Help us bear Your image, observe Your laws, to be monuments to the effect of Your grace, trophies of Your victory. Fill us with the joy of our salvation we ask, through the name of Your Son, our Savior. Amen.

Sermon

The New Passover

O Praise the Name (Anástasis)

I cast my mind to Calvary where Jesus bled and died for me. I see His wounds, His hands, His feet. My Savior on that cursed tree.

His body bound and drenched in tears, they laid Him down in Joseph’s tomb. The entrance sealed by heavy stone. Messiah still and all alone.

Chorus: O praise the Name of the Lord our God. O praise His Name forevermore. For endless days we will sing Your praise. Oh Lord, oh Lord our God.

Then on the third at break of dawn, the Son of heaven rose again. O trampled death, where is your sting? The angels roar for Christ the King. Chorus

He shall return in robes of white, the blazing sun shall pierce the night. And I will rise among the saints, my gaze transfixed on Jesus’ face. Chorus
