And Can It Be (Hymn No. 455)

And can it be that I should gain an interest in my Savior’s blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain? For me who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be, that Thou my God shouldst die for me?

Chorus: Amazing love! How can it be, that Thou my God shouldst die for me?

He left His Father’s throne above - so free, so infinite His grace - humbled Himself – so great His love - and bled for all His chosen race. ’Tis mercy all, immense and free; for, O my God, it found out me! (Chorus)

Long my imprisoned spirit lay, fast bound in sin and nature’s night; Thine eye diffused a quick’ning ray; I woke, the dungeon flamed with light; my chains fell off, my heart was free; I rose, went forth, and followed Thee. (Chorus)

No condemnation now I dread; Jesus, and all in Him, is mine! Alive in Him, my living Head, and clothed in righteousness divine, bold I approach th’ eternal throne, and claim the crown, through Christ my own. (Chorus)

Call to Worship/Prayer of Invocation

O Great God

O great God of highest heav’n, occupy my lowly heart. Own it all and reign supreme, conquer every rebel pow’r. Let no vice or sin remain that resists Your holy war. You have loved and purchased me, make me Yours forever more.

I was blinded by my sin, had no ears to hear Your voice, did not know Your love within, had no taste for heaven’s joys. Then Your Spirit gave me life, opened up Your word to me through the gospel of Your Son, gave me endless hope and peace.

Help me now to live a life that’s dependent on Your grace. Keep my heart and guard my soul from the evils that I face. You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed. O great God of highest heav’n, glorify Your name through me.

Cornerstone

My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly trust in Jesus’ name.

When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. My anchor holds within the veil.

Chorus: Christ alone. Cornerstone. Weak made strong in the Savior’s love. Through the storm, He is Lord. Lord of all.

His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood; when all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay. Chorus

When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found dressed in His righteousness alone. Faultless to stand before the throne. Chorus

Corporate Confession of Sin

Pastor Tim Dryden

O Lord God, we confess and acknowledge most sincerely before Your holy majesty that we have sinned against You this week. In this we have earned Your righteous judgment, our ruin and perdition. Nevertheless, Lord, we are grieved that we have offended You; and we condemn ourselves and our sins in true repentance, pleading Your grace to relieve our distress. O God and Father, most gracious and full of compassion, have mercy upon us in the name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. And as You blot out our sins and stains, increase in us day by day the presence of Your Holy Spirit: helping us to put to death our sins, and producing in us the fruits of righteousness which are pleasing to You, giving us hearts that, like our Savior, hate sin. We ask through His name. Amen.

Morning Prayer

Resurrection Power (** You Can Give by Text: Text "Give" to 757-500-8680.)

You called me from the grave by name. You called me out of all my shame. I see the old has passed away. The new has come.

Chorus: Now, I have resurrection power living on the inside. Jesus, You have given us freedom. (Now) No longer bound by sin and darkness, living in the light of Your goodness, You have given us freedom.

I’m dressed in Your royalty. Your Holy Spirit lives in me. I see my past has been redeemed. The new has come.

Bridge: Freedom, You have given us freedom. You have given us freedom. My chains are gone. Freedom, You have given us freedom. You have given us freedom. Hallelujah. Chorus

Beautiful, Scandalous Night (During Communion)

Behold Our God

Who has held the oceans in His hands? Who has numbered every grain of sand? Kings and nations tremble at His voice. All creation rises to rejoice.

Chorus: Behold our God, seated on His throne. Come, let us adore Him. Behold our King, nothing can compare. Come let us adore Him.

Who has given counsel to the Lord? Who can question any of His words? Who can teach the One who knows all things? Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds? Chorus

Who has felt the nails upon His hand, bearing all the guilt of sinful man? God eternal, humbled to the grave, Jesus, Savior, risen now to reign! Chorus

Bridge: You will reign forever (Let Your glory fill the earth). Chorus
